    This Simple Hat Pattern is used in my beginners’ class. After Learning the Single crochet, Double Crochet, and half double Crochet, this project is demonstrated to know the technique of working in circles (form a ring), the slip stitch and how to increase stitches.

    Materials:

    Yarn (Weight 4)
    Hook (Size 4.5 or 5)

    Stitches used:

    Half Double Crochet.
    Slip Stitch.
    Chains.

    Instructions:

    Foundation Row: Ch4, Sl st into first chain was made to form a ring.
    Row01: Ch2 (does not count as a stitch), work 11 hdc into ring. (11 sts)

    Row02: Ch2 (does not count as a stitch), hdc in same place as joined, *2 hdc (increasing) in next stitch*repeat from * to * in the next 9 hdc sts, hdc in last st, sl st in first hdc. (22 sts)

    Row03: Ch2 (does not count as a stitch), hdc in same place as joined, *hdc in next st, 2 hdc in next st* Repeat from * to * 9more times,  hdc in last st, sl st in first hdc. (33 sts)

    Row04: Ch2 (does not count as a stitch), hdc in same place as joined, *hdc in next 2 sts, 2 hdc in next st* repeat from * to * 9 more times, 1 hdc in last st, sl st in first hdc.. (44 sts)

    Row05 : Ch2 (does not count as stitch), hdc in same place as joined, *hdc in next 3 sts, 2 hdc in next st* Repeat from * to * 9 times, hdc in last st, sl st in first hdc. (55 sts)

    Row06 to Row15: 1 hdc in each hdc (44 sts).

    Faster off.

    To make the hat bigger (For adults)increase the number of pattern after Row05. 2 or 3 more rows in increasing. For example in Row06 increase in after 4 stitches then 2 hdc.

    This is a beginners’ scarf pattern.

    After Learning the Chain, Single crochet, Half double  and their abbreviations  you will be able to follow this pattern.

    Materials:

    Any type of Yarn (Size 4) with 5 or 5.5 Hook size

    or Chunky Yarn with size 7, 8, or 9 Hook size.

    Gauge doesn’t matter.

    Instructions:

    Foundation Chain: Ch180 + 4 (total chains 184)

    Rnd1: hdc in 7th chain from hook, *Ch2, Sk2, Hdcin next ch*, Repeat from * to * to the end, end with hdc. (60 Ch2 Sp)

    Rnd2: Ch4, hdc in frist Ch2 Sp, *Ch2, Sk hdc, Hdc in next ch2 sp*, Repeat from * to * across. (60 Ch2 sp)

    Keep repeating Rnd2 until you reach the width that you like.
