Row01: Ch2 (does not count as a stitch), work 11 hdc into ring. (11 sts)

Row02: Ch2 (does not count as a stitch), hdc in same place as joined, *2 hdc (increasing) in next stitch*repeat from * to * in the next 9 hdc sts, hdc in last st, sl st in first hdc. (22 sts)

Row03: Ch2 (does not count as a stitch), hdc in same place as joined, *hdc in next st, 2 hdc in next st* Repeat from * to * 9more times,  hdc in last st, sl st in first hdc. (33 sts)

Row06 to Row15: 1 hdc in each hdc (44 sts).

    Faster off.

To make the hat bigger (For adults)increase the number of pattern after Row05. 2 or 3 more rows in increasing. For example in Row06 increase in after 4 stitches then 2 hdc.

    Good Luck :)

    November 1st, 2010Abbreviations

You can see the name of the stitch for example; Chain Stitch and the abbreviation is between the brackets (ch) and symbol is next  to it.

Symbols are used to make graphical instructions, which sometimes can be useful more than the writing or help to understand the writing.

Example can be found in this tutorial:  Scarf for beginners
